Something larger is unfolding across the planet. Solar activity has intensified, Earth’s electromagnetic environment is showing periods of heightened activity, technology is advancing at an extraordinary rate, and established social structures are being challenged throughout the world. At the same time, more people are questioning physical reality, becoming aware of energy, and experiencing rapid spiritual transformation. Earth is completing one passage through an approximately 26,000-year cycle known as the Great Year, creating an extended planetary transition affecting consciousness, civilization, the physical body, and the collective energy field.
What Is the Great Year?
Earth’s rotational axis moves through a slow circular motion known as axial precession. One complete 360-degree movement takes approximately 26,000 years and is commonly called the Great Year or the precession of the equinoxes. As Earth moves through the Great Year, its axis gradually changes direction against the background of the stars, the celestial poles shift, and the position of the equinoxes changes. Earth eventually returns to a similar celestial orientation, completing one movement through the cycle and beginning another. The completion of the Great Year represents more than an astronomical movement. It marks the completion of one energetic and evolutionary phase and the opening of another planetary cycle, and humanity is moving through this turning point now.
Where Are We Now?
Humanity is living within the completion and renewal phase of the Great Year. The previous energetic cycle is closing while the frequencies of the incoming cycle are becoming increasingly active within Earth’s energy field. This is not one event with one date attached to it because a transition of this magnitude unfolds across generations as planetary energies, human awareness, and civilization change together. Ancient cosmologies, oral traditions, astronomical monuments, and spiritual teachings describe history as a series of great cycles rather than a straight line. The current transition is another movement through that continuing cosmic process.
What Is Ascension?
Ascension is the expansion of consciousness beyond fear, separation, limitation, and identification with the physical world alone. It is often described as the movement from dense third-dimensional consciousness into a more connected fifth-dimensional state centered on unity, compassion, love, and multidimensional awareness. It is not one moment of enlightenment or a single event that suddenly changes everyone. Ascension unfolds as humanity releases old beliefs, structures, and ways of living that no longer match the frequencies entering the planet. This transformation involves consciousness, DNA, the physical body, the energy field, and humanity’s relationship with Earth and the Universe.
Increased Solar Activity
The Sun is currently moving through Solar Cycle 25, which began in December 2019 and rose more strongly than originally predicted. The Sun entered its solar-maximum phase in 2024, bringing increased solar flares, coronal mass ejections, solar wind, plasma, and geomagnetic activity. Solar eruptions release radiation and charged particles that travel through the solar system and interact with Earth’s magnetosphere, ionosphere, and electromagnetic environment. This gives us a measurable physical layer of a much greater energetic process. The Sun acts as a transmitter of galactic energies entering our solar system, allowing these frequencies to reach Earth and interact with its physical and energetic fields.
Solar activity does not represent everything happening within the galactic environment. It is one visible and measurable expression of the larger process. This helps explain why daily space-weather readings can reveal important energetic conditions without measuring the full range of frequencies reaching the planet. The Sun is part of a much larger system involving Earth, the solar system, the galactic environment, and the collective energy field. What we observe through solar flares and geomagnetic activity is the measurable layer of something much greater.
What the Schumann Resonance Is Tracking
The Schumann resonance is commonly described as Earth’s electromagnetic frequency, but 7.83 Hz is the approximate center of its fundamental resonance rather than one unchanging number. Monitoring stations also measure its amplitude, power, intensity, harmonics, and smaller movements in frequency. What people commonly call Schumann resonance “spikes” are usually sharp increases in amplitude or power that appear as intense bands of activity on monitoring charts. The resonant frequencies can also shift as the height, conductivity, and activity of the ionosphere change.
Lightning, atmospheric electricity, solar flares, geomagnetic activity, day and night cycles, seasonal conditions, and disturbances within the ionosphere can all affect the readings. This is why the Schumann resonance is worth monitoring. It shows when Earth’s electromagnetic environment is relatively calm and when it is experiencing stronger or more irregular activity. Recent monitoring has shown periods of intense amplitude, strong harmonic activity, and unusual patterns that have drawn increased attention to changes occurring within Earth’s electromagnetic environment. The Schumann resonance tracks part of Earth’s electromagnetic response to the activity occurring around it. The readings provide a valuable window into changing electromagnetic conditions and another measurable indicator of how Earth is responding as solar, atmospheric, ionospheric, and galactic conditions become more active.
Galactic Movement and Incoming Energies
Earth is not moving through space by itself. The entire solar system is traveling through the Orion Arm of the Milky Way while orbiting the galactic center. During this movement, the solar system passes through changing interstellar environments containing plasma, gas, dust, magnetic fields, cosmic radiation, and other galactic energies. These changing regions of space affect the energetic environment surrounding the Sun and Earth. Galactic energies move through the solar system, interact with the Sun, and enter Earth’s physical and energetic fields.
This larger galactic movement is why ascension cannot be reduced to solar flares or Schumann resonance readings. Solar and electromagnetic measurements reveal parts of the process, but they do not measure the entire energetic environment. Some incoming energies can be detected through changes in solar, geomagnetic, atmospheric, or electromagnetic activity. Other aspects remain part of what I call the unmeasurables. Together, these energies contribute to the larger transformation taking place throughout Earth and the collective energy field.
The Biological and Energetic Transformation
Ascension is not only a mental or spiritual change. It is connected with the physical body, DNA, the nervous system, the energy field, and the development of the light body. In light-body science, crystalline structures throughout the fascia, bones, cells, and DNA receive, store, and transmit frequencies. These structures form part of the biological hardware through which the body responds to electromagnetic and galactic energies. As the surrounding frequencies change, the physical and subtle bodies must adjust to carrying and transmitting more energy.
Collective Upheaval and the Closing Cycle
The planetary transition is also appearing throughout human civilization through war, political division, economic instability, institutional breakdown, technological disruption, and widespread dissatisfaction with established systems. This upheaval reflects the destabilization of structures built through separation, fear, control, and extreme materialism. Systems that once appeared permanent are becoming increasingly difficult to maintain as the collective energy field changes. Humanity is also becoming more aware of corruption, injustice, environmental destruction, and the consequences of living without spiritual or energetic awareness. What could once remain unseen or unchallenged is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain.
New awareness is developing while older structures resist change, creating the intense contrast felt throughout the collective energy field. Some people are becoming more compassionate, connected, and spiritually aware, while others are responding to the same pressure through fear, anger, control, and deeper division. The incoming energy amplifies what is already present and pushes unresolved collective patterns into view. This is why the current period can contain profound awakening and extreme disruption at the same time. Humanity is learning how to move into a new energetic cycle while still carrying structures and behaviors created during the previous one.
You Are Here
Humanity is living inside the completion and renewal phase of the approximately 26,000-year Great Year. The transition is already expressing itself through the Sun, Earth’s electromagnetic environment, society, consciousness, the physical body, and the human energy field. The Age of Aquarius describes the qualities becoming active during the current period, while solar activity and Schumann resonance measurements allow us to observe parts of the changing energetic environment. Galactic movement provides the larger setting, and collective upheaval reveals how deeply the transition is affecting human civilization.
We are not waiting for this planetary transformation to begin. We are living within it, responding to it, and participating in what comes next. The old energetic cycle is losing its ability to hold humanity in the same patterns, while the incoming cycle is activating a greater awareness of energy, unity, and multidimensional reality. Understanding where we are within the Great Year gives us a larger map for the changes happening throughout Earth. The transition is not happening somewhere outside of us because every person is part of the planetary process.
