Today, August 12, we experience a Total Solar Eclipse and New Moon in Leo. What makes this Eclipse especially significant is that the South Node is now in Leo, while the North Node is in Aquarius. This places today’s Eclipse directly within a new karmic chapter centered around what we are being asked to release from the past and where we are being redirected next.
The South Node represents what we have already lived through, deeply ingrained patterns, old attachments, previous experiences, and karmic material that has reached a point of completion. Spiritually, this can bring past-life themes, karmic cords, repeating relationship patterns, ancestral influences, old energetic attachments, and long-running cycles to the surface for healing and release.
Because the South Node is moving through Leo, this release can become deeply personal.
Leo is connected with identity, the heart, creativity, self-expression, love, individuality, and the path we choose to walk as ourselves. This Eclipse can expose the places where we are still living through an outdated version of ourselves, repeating patterns created through the past, or remaining attached to situations that no longer belong to the direction our life is taking.
For some people, these energies can bring dramatic shifts or sudden course corrections.
